Georgi Sareski (acoustic guitar) and Dzijan Emin (French horn, melodeon) Duo
Sareski and Emin are two of Macedonia's most innovative, productive, and versatile musicians.
Since 2004 they have made a lot of music together, released several albums, and promoted their music well beyond the borders of their country.
This unconventional duo is a burst of energy and emotion, fantastic interplay, intimate songs, and sophisticated sound, creating music that resonates within the listener's soul.
Their latest album "Amam" is by the Skopje Connection trio, a collaboration between Georgi Sareski, Dzijan Emin and the renowed Italian trumpet player Luca Aquno. The album was released this year in Italy under Enrico Blumer's production label. The Skopje Connection trio opened this year's Skopje Jazz Festival, the biggest festival for jazz on the Balkans.
Georgi Sareski is a guitarist and composer who studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston from 2001 - 2005, where he graduated majoring in jazz composition and arranging. He has received several awards and honors during his studies, including the first prize award on the International Association of Jazz Educators competition for composers and arrangers in Massachusetts, in 2005. Since then he has released three albums as a leader, one with the Skopje Connection trio, and appeared on several more as a guest guitarist and composer. He performs regularly with the Georgi Sareski Quartet and the Skopje Connection, at home and abroad.
A gifted composer and multi-instrumentalist, Dzijan's talents have been confirmed with numerous albums, awards, honors and recognitions throughout the years. He is the principal French horn with the Macedonian Philharmonic, but also an important ingredient of many international and domestic projects and groups, as a composer, arranger, keyboard player, guitarist, vocalist and producer.
Dzijan has performed world wide and collaborated with outstanding musicians such as William Parker, Bob Stewart, Gianluca Petrella, Greg Hopkins, Peter Herbert, Malcolm Burn, and Frank London, and many more. His vast discography includes four albums with his group "Project Zlust", two albums with Georgi Sareski, and 10 other releases.
